Smiling

Smiling is a powerful survival mechanism.

Smiling turns on the body's non-arousal, rest and relaxation system. Smiling calms you down.

Smiling actually affects the production of certain hormones, and has direct positive influence on your heart rate and blood pressure.

Don't loose your ability to smile - it makes people look more attractive, vital & youthful.

To smile and laugh shows a giving, outgoing & warm-hearted personality.

A human smile is a play face. When you're smiling - “the whole world smiles with you”.

Smiling Suggestions -

Practice smiling gently, and energetically include your eyes – you don’t have to do much at all, let your eyes express the feeling of your smile – include your cheeks, lips, brain . . . imagine your heart is smiling, your kidneys, your heart, your liver, your hands . . .

Imagine you are happy and smile, just for practice. When you feel good – smile.

Appreciate something worth smiling at in the natural world - a flower, a cloud, an animal. Think of somebody you love and smile.

Express your gratitude through smiling - for simply being alive, having a functioning body and mind, knowing that you are alive. Regularly practice the gratitude smile.

Breathe-Smile-Relax. As you meditate gently half-smile.
